I’ve been doing Nordic walking for several years now, as part of a club. It’s an activity I love: it’s good for the heart, lung capacity, and joints… but for a while now, I’ve been feeling some mild pain in my lower back. Nothing too alarming—I just chalked it up to getting older or muscle fatigue.
Then I received an email from our club president. He invited us to get a free foot assessment at a pharmacy using the Vistapod platform. Curious (and a little skeptical), I made an appointment.
In just five minutes—first standing still and then walking on a sensor-equipped mat—the software detected a slight pronation in my feet, in other words: a inward roll. Nothing visible to the naked eye, but enough to throw my posture off balance… and cause those all-too-familiar aches and pains.
The pharmacist recommended custom-made insoles based on the results of that analysis. I decided to give them a try.
Since then, my back pain has gone away. I stand straighter, I walk better… and I wonder why I didn’t get this checkup sooner. At 62, I’ve finally discovered the root cause of my minor ailments… and, most importantly, a simple and effective solution.
A big thank you to my pharmacist and to Vistapod for this service, which is both professional and user-friendly.
